This AOC monitor is one stylish art piece which will fit well with minimalistic table top or for people who enjoy design over form. It 27 inch full HD IPS display with refresh rate of 60Hz, they mention about sRGB color gamut but no mention of the percentage of coverage yet again this is a basic monitor for home application. There is no g-sync or free-sync but we will talk gaming later.
Our model comes with white glossy finish on the back with the decently weighted aluminium stand. Looking the the bezel from the front, the 3 side are 1.2cm thin with the bottom being 1.7 thin. Looking on the side, is way thinner than my thumb at 1.1cm thin and 11cm distance from wall to screen with the stand pushed to the edge, thus ample space for cable management. So go wireless for mouse and keyboard for cleaner setup. The screen is sturdy but there is some wobble if you touch it. No assembly require as it comes as one piece, thus no VESA mount support but it okay. It weight 4.3Kg.
I/O wise we have 2x HMDI 1.0, 1x VGA (good for old systems), power input, headphone jack and Kensington lock, no USB uplink/downlink. They provide both VGA and HDMI cable in the package. Ergonomic wise it doesn’t have height or swivel adjustment but they have 3 degree front tilt and up to 20 degree back tilt which is decent from home use. 31watt maximum operating power.
The screen is a matte finish but doesn’t have a wash out look, its well saturated screen that gives a natural look which I appreciate a lot reminds me of Iphone or Honor smartphone screen colors, work well with simple video and color grading edits. For gaming, base on default level, the black is just fine no major shadow crush and its easy to play games at 60p with AA on. Other features includes the flicker-free display to reduce eye fatigue. THE OSD menu is beautiful has your basic function to tweak.
