It’s your full size mechanical gaming keyboard with only green lighting no RGB but no biggy. Our variant uses the Razer green switches which is similar to Cherry MX Blue switches being tactile and clicky. 50gram actuation force with 4mm travel. The long keys uses spring based stabilizer, shaking the keyboard have a tiny minute rattling sound, thus not audible. Keys rated to last 80 million keystrokes. Travel between the key is good thanks to the good amount of spacing. Build quality is superb I tried the kill it but no luck.
The keys sit slightly flush into the keyboard so cleaning does take more effort, I prefer the floating style key like on the Razer Blackwidow X Chroma that we reviewed in the past. The top plate is plastic. The key are well illuminated thanks to the green backplate below the keys, sadly only illuminates in green because this is not Chroma enabled. There game mode and macro setting which are self explanatory. For lighting you can’t change the animation on the keyboard you have to use the Razer Synapse software but you can change your lighting intensity on the keyboard with the FN + F11 or 12 button.
The silicone cable is close to 2 meter long, slightly thick but can flex well. I wish they use braided cables instead. The keyboard single-stage stand increase the height of the keyboard by 2cm. Total 6 rubber feet including those on the stand. For the sound test, check the video out.
You can set macro keys, lighting effects and other function via the Razer synapse software. The LED has 14 level brightness, and here are some for the available lighting effects. Breathing, Reactive, Ripple, Starlight, Static, wave and none. I tried Starcraft II with plenty of hotkeys it works fine and I also had good experience with typing my review notes.
