The Soft Pouch

Each earbud has a dual 10mm Neodymium Dynamic Driver. One of them handles the full audio range another just handle to ultra-low bass frequency some haptic feedback. In layman’s term, you can feel the vibrations during a gaming session with sound effects like guns and blast sounds.

LED lights on

You can mute the microphone by pressing the side button once. Control center located on the left side at the neck area. Passive (hardware-based) sound isolation is good, better than the market average so you can focus on gaming. If they made the sound tube to be longer by 2mm it would be better.

The controls

The rated battery life is 12 hours with LED OFF and 9 hours with LED ON (side button press hold). Our battery is based on the Samsung S10e at the 4th volume bar with LED ON and we received a total of 11 hours.

Gaming sound differs by phone brands and models so our audio test would be the usual audiophile type to keep consistency with our other audio test. We will test the audio based on Game Mode which has extra bass than the Music Mode (double press side button).

Audio Quality tested on Samsung S10e
POP/EDM:
Tiaan – Be Ok (Low bass frequency – 5th Volume)
Low bass frequency is superbly energetic and superbly notable, you can feel the subtle air pressure movement in your ears. The low bass frequency has no distortion. The subtle bass vibrations fade ultra smoothly. The low bass slightly overpowers the vocals in terms of audible levels, vocals are crystal clear and not muffled.

Pia Mia – Do It Again (standard bass – 6th Volume)
Bass is superbly energetic and superbly notable. The bass fades ultra smoothly with a long drag at the 2:05 mark which I do enjoy, the vibrations just feel awesome you can feel a little of the haptic. The bass and vocals have roughly the same audible level, both seeking for attention can be distracting. However, vocals are not muffled. EDM tone sounds alive and reactive, loving it.

With and without the ear tips

Vocals/Instrumentals :
Violinder – Raindrops (high frequency instrumental – 6th volume)
The Piano/Violin tone is the crystal-clear type and not the warming sounding, I prefer the full crystal-clear type. It needs more shine at the highs to sound lively. Bass/drum takes center stage since its more audible than the Piano/Violin which sadly now becomes the support. This not how the song is meant to be.

Pentatonix – See Through (hi pitch vocal/separation – 6th volume)
Mitch Grassi’s High-pitched-male Tenor vocals perform great at the highs. Little more shine would have been nicer. Every diction and pronunciation is crystal clear and focus. Vocal beatboxing, echoing and humming is great but is more audible than Mitch Grassi’s vocal, taking attention away from the main vocals.

FINAL VERDICT

Calvin Pixels | CalvinPixels | CalvinPixels.com | Edifier GM3 Review | Wireless Dual Driver Gaming Headphones

You need high volume to power the driver to its optimum sound characteristic since there is a total of 4 drivers. The game mode gives a significant strong boost in bass audible sound and feel. The wireless performs well from the ultra-low bass frequency to the high frequency, this is typical of all dual driver setups. The haptic in game mode is present but not big enough to be distracting, music mode is good but lacks the bass feel so I would recommend using with game mode for EDM/POP/Bassy sound while Music mode for Vocal Focus Songs and High frequency instrumental.
