Is AOC’s professional series monitor with a 28 inch screen size. Its 4K UHD resolution with an aspect ratio of 16:9, (3840 x 2160 pixels) with a maximum refresh rate of 60Hz. It has AMD Freesync support for gaming needs (that includes playstation and xbox as well via HDMI).

Looking at I/O ports it has D-Sub, DVI-D, HDMI 2.0, Display Port 1.2, audio jack and DC in. Looking at the bezel on the side and on the front is 1.8cm thick, on the back there is a 9cm space clearance when the monitor is pushed against the wall. The back has a mix of black glossy and brush plastic finish. A brushed plastics finish with silver color as a base, ample space for me to put my phone, power bank and other accessory for quick reach.

Ergonomics wise is has a 5 degrees forward tilt and 24 degrees back tilt. There is no swivel adjustment tho I wish it had height adjustment or support for VESA mount. Monitor weighs 5.2kg total.

Opening the box reveals the factory calibration report. Stating the color and brightness uniformity results since this monitors is aim towards content creators. Is using a TN panel with a 72% NTSC or 100% SRGB color space which is good for simple photo and video editing. 157 PPI making the video and photo looking sharp and well detailed thanks to its 4K panel. The viewing angles is limited to 170 degrees horizontal and 160 degrees vertical.

4K is great as you can have a bigger video preview in your editing software as well as viewing all you adjustment tab and folder bin compared to small size and low resolution monitors. Similar situation for photo edit on lightroom, you don’t necessarily need to zoom in 50% to 100% to pixels peep and still have your adjustment tab on the left and right side. The panel has a non reflective coating to prevent glare as much as possible tho I wish AOC included a shading hood as well.

For gaming it has a 1ms response time but despite being able to game at 4K you need a good graphic card to power this monitor (in my case it was GTX 1060 with FastSync, learn more here). You’re limited to 60Hz, if you need 144Hz or 165 Hz AOC do offer those monitor which I have reviews some and the links in the description below.
